Welcome Dr. Álvaro Gil Araújo Ferreira

We hosted Dr. Álvaro Gil Araújo Ferreira, head of the Grupo de Pesquisa Mosquitos Vetores: Endossimbiontes e Interação Patógeno-Vetor from the Instituto René Rachou/Fiocruz Minas, Brazil, for a visit to our lab!   

Álvaro spent the week interacting with our lab members, exchanging knowledge, and exploring complementary molecular approaches in the fields of vector-pathogen interactions and insect innate immunity.

We are excited for the great joint research ahead, as we plan for funding applications, and explore future student exchange opportunities between our respective research groups. It was great having you in our lab, Álvaro!
